Discovered in the lush tropics of Tahiti, the Hua Moa plant grows up to 14 feet tall, crowned with vibrant foliage. Its plump plantains have delighted palates for generations. Introduced to the mainland United States from Hawaii in 1960, this extraordinary plant found a home in private gardens and earned its name as the Hawaiian plantain.
